The Philadelphia Global Women Peace Cup (WPC International) was born from a bold vision: to use soccer not merely as a sport, but as a global language for peace, education, and cultural diplomacy.
Our roots trace back to PACCONP (Philadelphia African & Caribbean Cup of Nations for Peace), an initiative led by Palms Solutions that brought together diverse immigrant communities through soccer to foster peace, unity, and intercultural dialogue. This groundbreaking effort demonstrated the powerful role sport can play in bridging differences and strengthening communities.
Building on this foundation, a strategic partnership with Women’s Campaign International (WCI) , a globally respected leader in women’s empowerment expanded the vision onto the international stage. With decades of experience in leadership development, advocacy, and capacity-building, WCI helped shape WPC International into a global platform where women and girls do more than compete, they lead.
